Floating down the river on her back, the playful otter curves her body and holds her treasure aloft to catch the light. 

This hand-carved otter was created from a uniquely patterned red and green soapstone. I especially loved discovering the dark markings revealed around her shoulders and ears. She brings an antique green marble with her, perfectly balanced on her outstretched paws.

She is finished with tung oil and a coating of locally sourced beeswax to enhance the natural colours in the stone.
