[SOLD] Soapstone Bear with Lantern

A bear carved in motion, walking forwards, his head propped high and carrying a lantern on a golden chain. The ears are forward and alert, a gentle guardian lighting the way. 

This large, one of a kind piece is carved by hand from Canadian soapstone. The bear is uniquely veined with green and has natural dark spots throughout, with the overall colour shifting depending on the light. Statue comes with a green marble lantern on a golden chain that balances well in the mouth of the bear without any adhesive.

Finished with a coating of local beeswax and tung oil to bring out the natural colours within the stone.
